Carlton Avenue – the new bed will need weeding again soon and the areas along the backs of the houses will need clearing again later in the Spring.
Edging – to be included in the regular maintenance as other priorities allow. TA/JY
Central bed – the Cornus, Phlomis and other shrubs will need cutting back / pruning later in March or the beginning of April. Other regular maintenance will continue. BS/ AA
School bed – This area will be worked on regularly alongside the central bed. Plants, such as Ferns will be put there to try to discourage people from trampling on the bed. PB
Compstall Road –The next general maintenance session should be carried out in March. PB
Tubs – All the tubs have been tidyed, weeded and topped up with soil. The tub near the Carlton Avenue entrance, which Barbara is looking after, is much improved. More small plants are needed to brighten up the remaining tubs especially the ones near the gym equipment. JB
Gardening - Saturday 27 March and another date in March to be decided. PB/TA
AOB
Fun Day – The decision to postpone the Fun Day was revisited in the light of the government’s intention for all lockdown restrictions to have been raised by 21 June. For a variety of reasons, it was agreed that attempting to hold it on 26 June was not feasible this year but we would work towards having one in 2022.

The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 4 May at 10.00. on Zoom, probably. The dates for the rest of the year are on the website.

Next gardening: Saturday 27 March 10.00 – 12.00

All welcome. Volunteers required.
